The people we send
on your hardest days.
Private day tours, multi-day charters and long-distance routes go, as a rule, to our Associate tiers — chauffeurs who had already proven themselves on hundreds of airport transfers before HTJ trusted them with a full-day itinerary.
Why We Trust Them
With Tours
English is mandatory. Every Associate-tier chauffeur meets a rigorous service standard before they take a guest beyond the airport road.
Proven before promoted
Associate status is earned, not assigned. Each chauffeur here logged 100+ airport transfers — punctuality, luggage, flight delays, English under pressure — before being trusted with a full-day itinerary.
Routes they already know
Between them, the seven have driven 256+ private tours: Mt. Fuji and Hakone regularly, Kyoto and Hakuba as multi-day charters, Suzuka on race weekends. Your day is not an experiment for them.
Chauffeurs, not tour guides
Our Associates are licensed professional drivers who handle navigation, parking, timing and local recommendations in English. They are not licensed tour guides — and we say so plainly, because that is what keeps the day safe and on schedule.
HTJ's Branch Manager and the most experienced chauffeur on the team, with 1,000+ journeys and more private tours driven than anyone else. When weather or plans change mid-trip, Ryu is the one the rest of the team calls.

One of the few HTJ chauffeurs fluent in French as well as English, Pierre is the automatic choice for francophone guests — and a regular on the long Tokyo-to-Takayama and Kansai routes.

The chauffeur guests rebook by name. Kenny has become HTJ's specialist for multi-day charters — 10-day itineraries included — where the same face each morning is half the comfort.

HTJ's most road-tested chauffeur for long-distance charters: Kyoto and Hakuba are routine for him, and his calm, safety-first driving is what guests mention first.

Vehicle handling rated 5 of 5 — the only chauffeur on the team whose driving matches the founder's own. Also licensed for large vehicles, so multi-vehicle group tours are in safe hands.

Raised in the United States, Kevin's English is native — and he holds a microbus licence for larger groups. Guests from a Suzuka F1 charter still talk about the photos and the easy conversation on the way.
